Tell us a little about yourself!
I’m a physical therapist working at Mount Sinai West Hospital in NYC. I like to run and crochet in my spare time. Since I have RA I am immunocompromised But have thankfully recovered from covid 19. I would like to help my community stay safe!
Tell us about your #MakeWaves project.
There are a lot of elderly folks and immigrant families who don’t speak English very well in my community. I would like to provide masks to members of my community who may not have access to these very important resources.
The elderly and immigrant families who live in my community. I work in a hospital and see that these populations are being impacted the most. Oftentimes they lack the resources to protect themselves and their loved ones. I would like to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in these populations.
Who inspired you?
I see a lot in our NYC hospital on the west side - fear, anxiety, frustration, sadness and anger. I also see compassion, dedication and love for our patients, our colleagues, our families, friends. I see everyone doing their part and it gives me the hope and drive to keep coming to work and do whatever I can to help. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy out there, we will beat this!
Your message to the community.
