How do I buy Vessis?

Right now, Vessis are only available online—you can buy them on our Canadian Website or US/World Website

When will I get my tracking number?

For North America orders, you'll receive a confirmation email from Vessi with your tracking number within 72 hours after your order is placed. 

For Asia/International orders, it can take up to 5 business days to receive your tracking number.

If your package isn't showing movement yet — don't worry! It's normal to take a few days, even if you already have a tracking number assigned. 

My tracking number may be incorrect.

What are Vessis made of?

Vessi's main materials are: 

• Upper Knit = Polyester
• Midsole = Lightweight EVA
• Rubber Outsole = Vulcanized Rubber
• Waterproof Membrane = Polyurethane

Where are Vessis made?

Vessis are designed in Vancouver, Canada, and made in Taiwanese facilities of the highest quality. 

Are Vessis Vegan?

Vessis are 100% vegan and creature-free 🌱

They're made with only water-based synthetic materials, modified polyurethane, and engineered leather. No animal products found here! 

Are Vessis eco-friendly?

Typical manufacturing processes waste huge amounts of energy and water by treating and dyeing textiles. They use animal products, and materials harmful to the environment that take forever to decompose.

At Vessi, we wanted to change the game. 

We recognize the impact that our industry has on the planet. That's why we've developed mindful manufacturing practices to reflect our values. Each pair is made with less water, electricity, manpower, and waste in comparison to conventional practices.

We care about our planet and we're here to help reduce the carbon footprint left by our industry, one shoe at a time.

How does the waterproofing work?

Vessis are 100% Waterproof


They are also wind-proof, sand-proof, and snow-proof!

The core layer of each pair is made with our special Flash Knit material. 


How it works:

With a million tiny holes in the membrane layer, 
water is allowed to escape but impossible to get inIt's not a coating!

Each pair is designed to maintain their waterproofing feature, while still being extremely breathable and flexible. 

With normal wear, their protection will last the lifespan of the shoes.

What is "Flash Knit"?

In 2017, our co-founders invented a unique waterproof fabric 
called the Flash Knit.

This layered knit material contains a membrane inside that is powered by nano-filtering technology—in other words, that's millions of tiny holes! 

These tiny holes are big enough for heat and moisture to escape, but aren't big enough to let water in. 

Flash Knit is ultra-light, extremely flexible, and made from all eco-friendly materials. 

This innovative material is what makes your Vessis breathable, cozy, and comfy all day long. 

Are Vessis slip resistant?

Vessis are made with 4-way traction, meaning they provide the necessary slip-resistance you'd need for most activities. 

It'd be incredibly hard to do the moonwalk in them—but we ask that you take extra caution for icy or greasy surfaces!  

Are Vessis good for travel?

Definitely!—Vessis are the perfect travel shoes to take with you anywhere. 

They are extremely lightweight, ultra comfortable, and easy to match.

Can I swim in my Vessis?

Vessis are designed to protect your feet from 
rain puddles, sand, snow or slush. Our waterproofing membrane stops at your ankles.

As long as the water level doesn't enter over the opening, your feet will stay dry!

Are the insoles removable?

Yes they are!—Vessi's insoles are removable to fit custom insoles and orthotics, allowing you to maximize comfort and support to your liking. 

Wearing Vessis without insoles can also free up some space, solving any possible tightness.  You can use thicker insoles to make up any extra wiggle room as well.

Are Vessis safe to use around the swimming pool?

Yes, but be careful!

Your Vessis can handle a little splash from the pool, but try not to soak them in chlorinated or salt water for too long. 

The chemicals in the water might alter the Flash Knit membrane, causing your Vessis to lose its superpowers.

 

If you do happen to get chlorine or salt water on them, run them under warm water and use a non-solvent based detergent to clean them. 

What is the grip like on Vessis?

Cityscapes 

Cityscapes have a three-zone rubber tread designed for lightness and grip. The treads are placed strategically in areas where abrasion occurs most.

They also have embedded soft-gel heel counter designed to be flexible, while still holding your ankles in place for a support.

Everyday & Skyline

Our new collections will have a two-zone rubber tread design with herringbone grip to increase frontal grip.

They're slightly heavier as more rubber used for more abrasion resistance

Embedded soft-gel heel counter designed to provide a slightly firmer hold on your ankles.

What is the heel-to-toe drop?

The Everyday and Skyline collections have a heel-to-toe drop of 0.9cm, and the Cityscape collection has a drop of 0.8cm.

I have a latex allergy.

 If you have a latex allergy, we wouldn't recommend wearing Vessis. 

The midsoles are made out of lightweight EVA, and the outsole is made of rubber. There is a chance that you would have similar reactions to the rubber material.

Free Returns in North America!

We're happy to accept returns that are in brand new, original condition and packaging within 30 days of delivery—we'll pay for shipping!  

Final Sale Items

Final Sale items are non-refundable. You can exchange your item up to 30 days. Refunds will be issued in store credit

Please note that after an exchange is made, the order will become a final sale. Any further requests will only be eligible for additional exchanges or full store credit.

• Requests submitted after 30-day period will not be accepted. 
• Returns without original shoebox or damaged packaging will be an additional $5 restocking fee. Please do not tape or write on box.

Warranty Policy

Our 90-Day Guarantee 

At Vessi, we're not just here to keep your feet dry - we're committed to creating unique, memorable experiences that bring everyone together.

We stand behind our quality and promise. However, even the most carefully worn pair of shoes will eventually show wear and tear with time. Our warranty covers defects in manufacturing, but not damage caused by wear and tear. 

If your issue is listed below — you have 90 days from delivery to return them for a brand new pair or full store credit.

 

 Vessi's Warranty covers:

 
• Waterproof defects
• Manufacturing defects
• Suede rips
• Upper knit separation
• Rubber separation

It does not cover:


• Material failure caused by excessive wear and tear
• Deformation due to direct contact with heat
• Exposure to chemicals
• Alterations
• Improper cleaning care
• Stitching or hardware failure due to being caught, hooked, snagged
• Improper fit (For this, you have 30 days to make a return)

Warranty Claim Process
 

To start a claim, just follow these easy steps:

1. Fill out this form.

2. Wait for our team to evaluate your photos and request. 

3. If a defect is determined, we'll send you a paid shipping label.

4. Send your shoes back to us by dropping them off at the nearest post office.

5. Once we approve your shoes, we'll create an order for your new pair right away.

Please kindly allow up to 14 days process your claim.

How do I exchange my shoes?

You have 30 days from delivery to make an exchange!

I've returned my shoes. When will I get my exchange?

Exchanges in North America

Once we receive your shoes back at our warehouse, we'll inspect the condition of your package. When its conditions are approved, we'll send your new pair right away. 

After your package arrives, please kindly allow 7-10 business days to process your return. 


Exchanges Outside North America

We recommend sending packages with tracking numbers so that you can see when your package arrives at our warehouse. 

We are not responsible for returns not received by our warehouse shipped without a tracking number.

How do I get a refund?

If you changed your mind, you have 30 days from delivery to make a return and qualify for a refund! 

We offer free exchanges within North America.  International shipping rates may apply.

I've returned my shoes. When will I receive my refund?

Returns in North America

Once we receive your shoes back at our warehouse, we'll inspect the condition of your package. When its conditions are approved, we'll issue your refund back to your account.

We recommend sending packages with tracking numbers so that you can see when your package arrives at our warehouse.

Your store credit will not expire! You can save it until you're ready to make another purchase. The credit can also be used on pre-order items or any future releases coming out soon.

We want to keep your feet 100% dry and happy.

What's the difference between the Cityscape, Everyday, and Skyline?

While all 3 styles come with our patented Flash Knit technology, each collection offers a different feel, style and type of wear.

The Cityscape collection was our very first design. Made with flexibility ultra-lightness, and a higher insulation throughout all seasons. They are made for those who are more active and athletic. 

The Everyday and Skyline collections are designed to provide a more subtle support and freedom to stretch. They are geared towards comfortable stability and casual lifestyles.

What is the difference between the Everyday and Skyline?

The Everyday and Skyline Collections share the same technical features and Dyma-Tex technology. 

The main difference between the collections is the design! The Everyday comes with a lacing closure system that helps with lateral stability while the Skyline is laceless and designed as a slip on. 

These collections also come in their own variety of colors.

What is your Return & Exchange policy for Kickstarter?

You will have 30 days from delivery to make a request.

Refunds

As long as your shoes are in original condition and unworn, we're happy to refund you (shipping fees not included). You will have to cover the shipping costs of sending the shoes back to our warehouse.

Exchanges

If you're in North America, you'll just have to cover the costs of shipping your pair back to us, and we'll cover the costs for the new pair.

If you're outside of North America, shipping costs will be your responsibility.

I've completed my survey. When will I get my shoes?

If you backed us on Kickstarter, or pre-ordered before February 1, 2019—your Vessis will ship out in April 2019. 

All orders made afterwards will start shipping in May 2019! 

Do the Everyday or Skylines fit wide feet?

Our new collections do accommodate wider feet with our new Dyma-tex inner comfort lining.

This new material increases the stretch of the upper material and regulates temperature. It allows for the shoe to form to the shape of your feet, unlike conventional rigid structures where wide feet may rub on the sides.

Will my add-on items arrive at the same time?

Yes!—If you purchased add-ons with your survey, they will arrive at the same time as your pledge order. 

Can I ship my pledge items to multiple addresses?

Unfortunately not—we don't have the option to separate the shipments to different addresses. All the items under the transaction will be delivered to the same address only. 

Sizing & Shoe Care

What size should I order?

Vessi's full sizes fit all half sizes in between. The upper knit is dynamic and stretchy, so you won't notice a difference due to the form fitting nature of the shoe.


The Cityscape collection hugs your foot like a snug sock and stretches to the shape of your feet comfortably. Stick with your full size, or size up if you're a half size. 

The Everyday and Skyline collections have a higher stretch capacity. Stick with your full size, or size down if you're a half size. 

What is the arch support like?

Vessis start with fairly low arch support to accommodate as many feet as possible! 

Our insoles add additional cushion and support while our actual midsole is soft yet durable, made out of lightweight EVA.

The insoles are removable— so feel free to insert your own custom orthotics! 

How do I clean my Vessis?

You can clean your Vessis easily using a water-based soap. We recommend using jasonmarkk.com

Simply run your shoes under warm water, then scrub them with a soft sponge. 

When you're done, rinse them off and let them dry in a well-ventilated area—your Vessis will be good as new!

*Please do not use the washing machine! This could damage the membrane and void the waterproofing feature. 

Is there a difference between the Men and Women's sizes?

Vessis are designed for everyone! 

Men sizes are 1-2 mm wider than the women's sizes. For ladies looking for a wider fit, we recommend choosing a men's size for a more comfortable fit.

To find your size in Men's, simply go one size down from your usual women's size. For example, a W9 would be a M8!

How do I store my Vessis?

Store your Vessis in a well-ventilated area.

By storing them with proper care, your shoes will stay fresh and functional for a longer period of time.

I have wide feet. Can I fit in Vessis?

Vessi's fit a lot like a sock! They hug and stretch around your foot to your unique shape over time. 

At this time we are unable to offer wide sizes— but the upper knit is very adaptable to wide feet. 

Our styles are unisex, but the men's sizes are wider and have a bigger opening. If you're a female looking for a wider fit, try a men's size to get the room without adding extra length. 

Simply go one size down from your women's size to find your men's size. For example, a W8 would be a M7!
